All the unwanted essences in the grass carpet are considered to be infesting plants. These are various species, and have different morphological and physiological characteristics. A lot of them can be controlled by correctly applying the agronomic norms, like proper quantity fertilization (dose/m²) and quality fertilization(nutritional elements proportion), proper irrigation, in time and the right water volume, adequate height cutting.
Some of them have a high infestation power and can be controlled only through specific chemical treatment which is especially made for this purpose. These interventions have to be made by qualified and authorized personnel in order to enhance the efficiency and prevent pollution. In order to enhance the efficiency of the control, agronomical and chemical, it is necessary to know the weeds and their classification in homogeneous categories. We distinguish through their botanical classification and through their morpho-physiological characteristics, the following main groups:
* Annual graminaceous (Digitaria sanguinalis, Setaria spp., etc.)
* Perennial graminoids (Cynodon dactylon, Poa annua, etc.)
* Broad-leaved dicotyledonous (Plantago spp., Bellis perennis, Taraxacum officinalis, etc.)
* Dicotyledonous legumes (Trifolium spp., Oxalis spp., etc.).
In order to limit the usage of herbicides it is mandatory to monitor the infested species and to make plans for preventive interventions.
Treatments to prevent and fight diseases and pests Insecticide, acaricide and fungicide spraying can be done by combining them or with an interval of 5-7 days between them. In case you choose the combination between them, it has to be done again in 10 days, for 3 successive spraying. Spring spraying and autumn spraying are mandatory, having a preventive role. It is less expensive to prevent diseases and pests attacks, than treating them through curative measures.
Our advice is to request our services in order to correctly identify the pests and diseases that affect your turf or plants.
